Our
philosophy
Our Preschool program is based on the Torah's teaching:
"Educate a child according to his way"
At Shalom Preschool, we believe that meaningful learning happens through hands-on experiences and sensory exploration within a safe and loving environment. Our program is thoughtfully designed to help children discover the world around them while joyfully connecting to our Jewish heritage and values through active, engaging activities.
Our curriculum, inspired by Reggio Emilia and Montessori approaches, is developed around the evolving interests of our students. Through play, children develop their senses and knowledge as they explore what fascinates them. We support the physical, intellectual, and emotional growth of each child by providing fully equipped classroom centers - including math, science, art, literacy, dramatic play, building, and music. Recognizing that every child learns through different intelligences, we strive to nurture and enhance all aspects of their development. This child-centered approach encourages children to become lifelong learners.
Play is central to our learning process. As children play and explore, they develop communication and social skills alongside cognitive growth.
Our teachers serve as facilitators - offering nurture, care, and guidance to help transform experiences into opportunities for learning and growth. We cherish those moments when children make discoveries on their own and develop original ideas. Our environment promotes critical thinking and problem-solving skills that prepare children for a successful and meaningful life.
